My interpretation of an Andalite from K.A. Applegate's book series 'Animorphs'.

Now for an overanalyzation! :

I wasn't a big fan of the way the Andalites were depicted on the covers, they looked too 'man and deer superimposed'. They were described as deer-like, being the closest reference, but they are still aliens.

I figured the stalk eyes would usually face backwards or to the side, covering the areas the front eyes can't see. The eyes are large and almond-shaped, I wanted to make them larger than normal human eyes. For the seven fingers it made more sense to give him five fingers and two thumbs, rather than one thumb with six fingers. Much more usable! I tried not to make him *too* muscular, the Andalites were always described with the power being in the tail, the arms weren't as strong as a human being's.

The tail I played with, trying to see which way it would be effective but sturdy as a weapon. I think the tail's a bit too short in this pic, but I'll work on that. I think way too much about the real-life physics of a fictional character but hey, I enjoy it.
